The BYD LV Flex and SMA SunnyIsland Energy Storage System is an extremely flexible combination for Off-Grid and Grid-Back-Up systems.

BYD LV Flex batteries are extremely modular, allowing easy system sizing to suit any requirements. This modularity also allows flexible expansion if system capacity needs to be increased in the future.

Safe Battery Construction
Built with the same Cobolt-free Lithium Iron Phosphate battery modules as BYD's Electric Vehicles, these 'stationary' battery systems inherit the safety, longevity, performance and durability of devices designed for motive and high vibration applications.

High Power Output
BYD's High Peak Output Current rating makes these batteries ideal for emergency back-up and full off-grid applications where surging loads are used.

Communications for all types of locations
The integrated user interface and standard WiFi and Ethernet interfaces mean the Sunny Island can be easily configured and monitored via smartphones or tablets. The WiFi interface allow the system data to be viewed locally with any WiFi device (phones/tablets/laptops) while the Ethernet and/or WiFi can be connected to the web to allow the system to be viewed remotely via SMA's online Sunny Portal.

Fast Commissioning
App and Browser commissioning options via an 8-step Setup Wizard ensure comprehensive system functionality can be programmed quickly and easily.

Built for Off-Grid Systems
Its high protection class, wide temperature range and exceptional overload capacity always provide the kind of security in the electricity supply that is needed for off-grid use. Intelligent load and energy management ensures operation even in critical situations and allows any appliance to be switched on even in the event of high inrush currents or harsh ambient conditions.
