In 2006 RFI acquired Long Distance Technologies Pty Ltd (LDT). LDT designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of non-channelised and channelised repeaters, amplifiers and frequency translating repeaters. These products offer unique solutions for traditional coverage problem areas such as office buildings, underground car parks, shopping centres, road tunnels and cuttings. The LDT range of repeaters is world class and has been successfully supplied over many years to carriers, OEM's and government networks.

Our product range includes:

• Translating and non-translating mobile telephone repeaters for the GSM and 3G systems.
• Channel selective and band selective models available.
• Translating and non-translating repeaters for UHF trunk radio networks.
• Road and rail tunnel radio communication distribution systems.
• Power amplifiers for cellular systems, UHF, L-band and C-band. Designs include more than 100W at UHF frequencies to 50W at C-band frequencies.
• Low noise amplifiers for VHF to microwave frequency bands. An extensive product range in the field, both indoor and outdoor lightning protected units available. Noise figures less than 1dB.
• Professional quality audio outside broadcast transmitter systems for radio broadcasters.
• Ku-band bandpass filters. Low loss interdigital designs.
• UHF and microwave frequency synthesisers. Low phase noise designs from VHF to several GHz.
• L-band upconverters and downconverters. Separate up and down converters or integrated units available. Output power to several watts.
• IF amplifiers and equalisers. Variable slope equalisers for both 70MHz and 140MHz systems.
