Cavity Star Combiners

Although not ideal, and a far less design predictable transmitter combining method, RFI provides products and support for cavity star combiners. In this method the cavities are fitted with band pass coupling loop assemblies and coupled together into a multi-port junction. Each system has to be considered custom built and less accommodating for future expansion.

If you require multicoupling not shown here, please contact your local RFI sales office.

VHF High Band (132-300MHz)

Considering that cavity star combining, unlike T-PassĀ® combining, is bandwidth limited, cavity star combining can still be used to couple a variety of VHF band pass cavities to suit a number of applications where the overall bandwidth is relatively narrow. The selected size, and in some cases the number of coupled cascaded band pass cavities in a channel, is predetermined by the fixed frequency spacing between the respective combined channels.

UHF Band (300-550MHz)
