About RSS Feeds (RSS)
RFI's RSS Feeds allow you to easily stay up to date with the latest content on the RFI website.
How do I start using RSS Feeds?
All you need is a feed reader (also known as an "aggregator"). Most current web browsers like Internet Explorer 7+, Firefox 2+, Opera 9+ or Safari 2+ have feed readers built in. If you don't have a browser that has a built in feed reader you can also use website based readers such as Google reader, MyYahoo or NewsGator. Dedicated feed reader software can be used to receive rss feeds, this software can run on your computer like any other program. Some examples of feed reader software for PC/Windows includes Feed Demon, Newz Crawler and for MAC/OSX platform includes NetNewsWire, Newsfire. You can even view RSS Feeds through MS Outlook 2007+, visit the Microsoft Office website for instructions on how to add a feed in Outlook 2007.
For more RSS Feed options, see the Wikipedia's RSS Readers which links to lists of feed readers.
How do I find feeds and subscribe to them?
Finding Feeds
RFI news feeds are linked using the industry-standard orange icon. ![]()
Subscribe to a feed manually
When you see the feed logo in a web page simply click on the orange icon
and you’ll be presented with the feed URL. Copy this URL into your feed reader and subscribe manually.
Subscribe using browser features
For each page on the RFI website that contains an RSS Feed, compatible browsers with feed readers will automatically display the RSS logo
in their location bar or toolbar. Just click the feed button and your browser will display the feed and/or prompt you to subscribe. Each browser and reader is a little different. If in doubt, you should view the help file for your software.
