RFI Custom Engineered Solutions
Tunnel communications - A Fibre based solution
For the Sydney Airport Rail Tunnel, a critical transport link for the Sydney Olympic Games, RFI engineered (for the NSW Rail Authority) a multi channel distributed amplifier system. The signals from multiple channel UHF trunked and dispatch radios are distributed by optical fibre to four underground stations, then amplified and reticulated throughout the stations. The system provides full coverage of the concourses and platforms for Police, Fire, Ambulance, Rail Services, Emergency Services and Special Operations groups.
Indoor Reticulation - Amplifier Systems boost indoor coverage
At three of the Sydney Olympic indoor sporting venues RFI engineered and supplied distributed amplifier systems to provide blanket indoor coverage of the arenas for Operations, Security and Police services. Each system was based on off-air signal sourcing, re-amplification and an internal distributed antenna system.
Multi channel, Multi site antenna combining system solutions
Antenna combining systems for small or large networks are catered to.
The company has significant installations of transmitter and receiver combining systems worldwide. Significant multi-site installations include a 103 site trunking system supplied for a railways network in the Middle East, a twenty site installation in Cuba, and many large scale installations in Australia and the region.
